Is Speakerfile a Speakers Bureau?
No. We are not a speakers bureau. We are an online service. We do not manage speaker schedules or contracts. We do not earn any commissions on speaker fees. Most of the speakers we are serving are corporate thought leaders who do not charge fees because they receive other benefits from public speaking.
How is Speakerfile different than other services?
Other speaker/expert sites to date have been more “directory-oriented” – charging commission fees for introductions and bookings. Speakerfile is based on a simple low cost subscription model for speakers and free service for event organizers. In many cases, the bookings we facilitate on our network will be corporate engagements where there is no fee. We believe our affordable solution works for everyone – speakers, their organizations, their agencies, event organizers and media.
Is there any qualification to being listed on Speakerfile?
Our primary market for Speakerfile are experts represented by their organizations, which by its very nature provides a certain degree of curation of within the Speakerfile community. While we cannot practically evaluate every speaker and speaking opportunity, our advanced search capabilities and the detailed nature of our listings provides users the tools to make an informed decision.

We specialize in the harder to find speakers. Many of our customers are corporate speakers who speak for no fee at events. They aren’t found in a speaker bureau catalog so they are harder to find. But they are accomplished professionals who are perfect for engagements such as panels and workshops.

Yes you can. We do not – and will not – interfere with your relationship with your speakers bureau.
Do I still need a speakers bureau if I use Speakerfile?
Speakerfile is not a replacement for your speaker bureau. Speaking is a multi-billion dollar industry thanks to the hundreds of speaker bureaus who represent top talent. They fulfill an essential service for meeting planners and will continue to do so. Speakerfile has been designed as a complementary service for speakers whether they are represented by a bureau or represent themselves. Speakerfile provides a fresh approach to helping speakers and bureaus more efficiently reach more meeting planners and increase their bookings.
What is the value of Speakerfile if I am a successful public speaker?
Even if you as a speaker are satisfied with the quality and quantity of the bookings you are receiving, there are other reasons to join Speakerfile. Our platform has been designed to make speakers and their support staff more efficient in managing content and contact information If you want to ensure that you are “on file” with a large network of event organizers, then you should consider registering even for a free account. Event organizers, especially those working for associations and other membership organizations told us that they often struggle to find relevant experts on the budgets they have.
